Dr. Dimitrios "Jimmy" Kilimitzoglou, DDS

Dr. Dimitrios Kilimitzoglou, known to nearly everyone as Jimmy, founded e.s.i. Healthy Dentistry in Smithtown and has built it around a fairly unfashionable idea: that a dentist should keep learning long after the diploma is framed. His own training runs from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine through advanced residencies at SUNY Stony Brook and NYU College of Dentistry, covering general, implant, and cosmetic work.
The letters after his name reflect how far he has taken that. He holds diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology and mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, along with fellowships across several of the field's implant and dental colleges.
Recognition has followed. He was named to BENCO's 40 Under 40 and later returned to his alma mater as Stony Brook's Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. He still teaches there as an Associate Clinical Professor, and he regularly leaves the practice behind to work humanitarian dental missions.
Away from the operatory, he cooks seriously, dives, and keeps up with music and sports.
