The Town of North Hempstead has released this spring and summer’s lineup for its anticipated Concert by Candlelight series.

Concerts will take place through August on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. at a variety of different parks throughout the town. For COVID-19 safety purposes, admittance will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, with social distancing in place through designated seating circles. Similarly to its drive-in movie series, the event is free, with a canned or non-perishable food donation recommended.

All events take place at 7:30 p.m. on their designated date. Dates, locations, and performances go as follows:

  • Thursday, May 27– Harper’s Ferry (Irish Folk) – Clark Botanic Garden

  • Thursday, June 3– The Next Level Band (Caribbean) – Martin “Bunky” Reid Park

  • Thursday, June 17– Genessa & The Selena Experience (Selena Tribute Band) – North Hempstead Beach Park (Amphitheatre)

  • Thursday, June 24– The Remedy (Rhythmic Top 40s Rock and Country) - Whitney Pond Park

  • Thursday, July 1– Luis Damon (Salsa) – Martin “Bunky” Reid Park

  • Thursday, July 8 – Endless Summer (Beach Boys Tribute) – Michael J. Tully Park

  • Thursday, July 15 – The LP’s (Music of the 70s and 80s) – Clark Botanic Garden

  • Thursday, July 29– A Decade of Soul (Classic Soul and Motown) – Whitney Pond Park

  • Thursday, August 12– Copperline (Music of James Taylor and Friends) – North Hempstead Beach Park (Amphitheatre)

  • Thursday, August 26– Pour Some 80’s On Me (Hits from the 80s, 90s and 2000s) – Clark Botanic Garden
