Del Vino Vineyards is a family-owned winery that made its 10-acre home in the historical village of Northport in 2018.

The vineyards were built on a 90-year-old apple farm, with the property’s remaining preserved to honor its history.

Owned by Lisa and Fred Giachetti, the family has had a role in winemaking for many generations. The Giachetti family’s roots in the Italian village of San Leucio, according to their website, is where their passion for wine originated.

Del Vino Vineyards practices sustainable winemaking and takes part in recycling and composting programs. These environmentally-conscious practices allow for them to maintain their land properly while giving back to the community. Del Vino Vineyard's hopes are to keep themselves accountable as “stewards of the land.”

Wines are available for purchase in Del Vino’s tasting room during their business hours. Their wine is crafted, according to the Giachettis, with food in mind. Their restaurant’s options, which encompass Italian fare like light pizzas to an extensive tapas menu, are meant to be enjoyed while sipping on their finest wines. As of May 15, 2021, their first-come, first-served patio is back in action.

Del Vino Vineyards is located at 19 Norwood Road in Northport. Their hours vary, so be sure to visit their website for more information. Visit Del Vino’s Facebook for updates.
