It has been in operation since 2007, producing notable and award-winning products such as their LiV potato vodka.

As they describe it, Long Island’s east end is a “hotbed of agricultural activity.” Containing over 5,000 acres of potatoes, corn, and malted barley farms, there was no better place to set up shop for a distillery. They take pride in being a farm-to-bottle distillery with locally sourced ingredients. Not only that, but with sustainable distillery practices, they have become innovators within their field, making sure to keep the land around them healthy.

While LI Spirits is well-known for LiV vodka, they have an impressive resume of varying spirits. Seasonal spirits, such as their Sorbetta orange liquor is boasted as the first potato-based, gluten-free liquor in the United States. This is not to mention their whiskies, which come in a wide variety themselves. One of their most popular is their Rough Rider straight bourbon whiskey.

Due to Covid-19, their tasting room has been brought outside for tastings on their large patio. Seating and tables are on a first-come, first-served basis. They are both children and pet friendly, with a food truck available on Fridays and weekends. This fully outdoor experience takes advantage of the rural scenery around them, allowing patrons to soak in the views while enjoying their drinks.

You can learn more on Long Island Spirits’ website as well as their Facebook. Their tasting room is available seven days a week beginning at 10 a.m., though you should check their closing hours on their website.
