Dr. Luis Fandos spent twenty-five years in interventional pain management before turning toward the question underneath it: why tissue breaks down in the first place, and whether anything can be done further upstream.
His training is at Mount Sinai and Columbia University, and he directs the Pain Medicine division at South Shore University Hospital. He also teaches as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine.
At Alluring Age in West Islip he practices what he calls cellular medicine, working from genetic testing toward a plan that can include peptide therapy, IV treatments, hormone replacement, and nutritional support. The premise is that age-related conditions are more usefully addressed at the cellular level than managed symptom by symptom.
