The Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its Shop Glen Cove Showcase, a one-afternoon holiday shopping event built around local businesses, makers and vendors. It runs Sunday, November 15, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus hall, 81 Sea Cliff Avenue, Glen Cove.

The chamber describes the showcase as the return of a holiday tradition, timed for the start of the shopping season and aimed at shoppers from Glen Cove and the neighboring North Shore communities, from Sea Cliff and Glen Head to Locust Valley.

What will be there

The chamber opened the floor to local vendors of every kind: gifts, specialty foods, handmade products, apparel and service businesses. Alongside the tables, the afternoon includes food and holiday activities. The vendor list fills on a first-come basis, so the final lineup will be set by the businesses that sign up over the next week.

For businesses that want a table

Vendor space costs $75 for chamber members and $100 for non-members. Setup starts at 10 a.m. on the day. Registration is online at GlenCoveChamber.org/GCShowcase, and sponsorships are available as well. Questions go to the chamber office at (516) 676-6666 or [email protected].

The rest of the season

The showcase lands a week and a half before Thanksgiving and 13 days before Small Business Saturday on November 28. The chamber posts its later holiday programming on the event calendar on its site.
