Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts has a November that runs from The Band's farewell concert recreated onstage to Santa Claus in the house for the holidays. Here is what is on the calendar at 71 East Main Street next month.
Two nights of Zebra, fifty years in
Zebra plays back-to-back nights, November 13 and 14, both at 8 p.m. The first is a stop on the band's 50th anniversary tour, with Midnight Sun opening. The second, Zebra Plays Zeppelin, is the band's long-running Led Zeppelin set, a full evening of Led Zeppelin material.
Tributes: The Band and the Eagles
The month opens Saturday, November 7 at 8 p.m. with The Last Waltz Celebration, a recreation of The Band's 1976 farewell concert with special guests filling the roles the original film made famous. On Friday, November 20 at 8 p.m., EagleMania performs the Eagles songbook.
Blue Oyster Cult, the day after Thanksgiving
Blue Oyster Cult, the band that formed on Long Island before Agents of Fortune and Don't Fear the Reaper went out to the world, plays Friday, November 27 at 8 p.m., the night after Thanksgiving.
For veterans, and for kids
On Sunday, November 8 at 3 p.m., the Atlantic Wind Symphony performs A Sousa Salute to our United States Veterans, a program of marches honoring veterans ahead of Veterans Day on November 11.
The month closes with the holidays arriving early: on Saturday, November 28 at 1 p.m., the theater screens The Polar Express with a visit from Santa, two days after Thanksgiving and squarely at the start of the season the movie belongs to.
