The Argyle Theatre in Babylon Village has set its holiday season: Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins runs on the Main Stage at 34 West Main Street from November 12 through January 3, 2027.

The show

Mary Poppins is the stage musical built from P.L. Travers's books and the 1964 Disney film, the story of the Banks children of Cherry Tree Lane and the nanny who arrives on the east wind. The Disney and Cameron Mackintosh production ran for more than 2,500 performances on Broadway and collected nine Olivier and seven Tony nominations, including Best Musical. The score carries the songs from the film: A Spoonful of Sugar, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Chim Chim Cher-ee and Let's Go Fly a Kite.

An eight-week run through the holidays

The production opens November 12 and runs nearly eight weeks, spanning Thanksgiving, the December holidays and New Year's weekend before closing January 3. It follows On Your Feet!, the Gloria and Emilio Estefan musical that closed the Argyle's fall slot on October 25, and it is part of the theater's 2026-27 Main Stage season, which also lists All Shook Up and Escape to Margaritaville on the schedule ahead.

The Argyle is Babylon Village's year-round professional theater, producing its own Main Stage musicals and a separate children's theater series from its building on West Main Street.

Tickets

Tickets are on sale through argyletheatre.com and the box office at 631-230-3500. One practical note from the theater: the balcony is reachable only by stairs, and handicap-accessible seating cannot be booked online, so patrons who need it should call the box office directly.

For families weighing the calendar, the run's length is the useful fact: unlike a one-weekend holiday show, Mary Poppins gives Babylon close to two months of performance dates, including the school-break week between Christmas and New Year's.
