Fall Long Island Restaurant Week begins Sunday, Nov. 1, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 8, with 175 restaurants in Nassau and Suffolk offering fixed-price menus. Dinner is three courses at one of three price points, $30, $40 or $48, and some restaurants add a two-course lunch for $25.

How it works

Each participating restaurant chooses which of the prix-fixe menus it offers, and the restaurant listings on the Restaurant Week site note which ones each place is running. The menus are offered all night every night a restaurant is open from Sunday to Sunday, with one exception: on Saturday, Nov. 7, restaurants only have to offer them until 7 p.m. Reservations are made directly with each restaurant.

First-timers on the list

Several restaurants are taking part for the first time this fall, according to the organizers' Suffolk listings:

  • Sundays On The Bay, Hampton Bays: a waterfront seafood restaurant at 369 Dune Road, open year-round.
  • The Marin, Northport: a waterfront restaurant at the Britannia Yachting Center on Northport Harbor, serving contemporary American food.
  • Trento, Farmingdale: Italian cooking and a steakhouse menu at 1058 Broadhollow Road.

Union Southampton is also on the list at a new address. The restaurant, formerly Union Burger Bar, has moved to 256 Elm Street inside Southampton Social Club, with indoor and outdoor seating and live music and DJ nights.

A sampling across Suffolk

Other Suffolk participants include Blackfish Tavern in Fort Salonga, Caffe Amici in Selden, Stella Trattoria and Bar in Blue Point, Sangria 71 in Commack, Ivy On Main in Westhampton Beach, Verona Ristorante in Farmingdale, Noah's in Greenport and Chachama Grill in East Patchogue. Noah's, on Front Street, has been run by Chef Noah Schwartz and his wife, Sunita, since 2010. Chachama Grill has served East Patchogue for more than two decades under Chef Elmer Rubio. Caffe Amici has been in Selden since 1992. The full lists for both counties are on the Restaurant Week site, sorted by Nassau and Suffolk.

A gift card drawing

The organizers are also running a giveaway of twenty $100 gift certificates, each good at the winner's choice of participating restaurant. Entry is through the Restaurant Week site.
