Kristin Juszczyk's NFL puffer jacket now comes in a size no person can wear. Pepsi announced on October 15 that it is teaming up with Off Season, the apparel brand Juszczyk founded with entrepreneur Emma Grede, to produce miniature NFL puffer jackets built to fit a 12-ounce Pepsi can.

For Long Islanders, the designer behind the collaboration is a hometown story. Juszczyk was born and raised in Massapequa and graduated from Massapequa High School in 2012, long before her hand-sewn team jackets started turning up on NFL sidelines and in national headlines.

From viral jackets to a 12-ounce fit

Juszczyk spent years making custom game-day pieces before her work took off nationally in January 2024, when Taylor Swift wore one of her Kansas City Chiefs designs at a playoff game. The attention led to an official partnership with the NFL and, in January 2025, the launch of Off Season, which she co-founded with Grede to build team apparel around fashion rather than standard fan-shop fits.

The Pepsi collaboration takes the brand's signature piece and reduces it to can scale. Each miniature jacket has working zippers, sleeves and custom patches modeled on Off Season's full-size outerwear, and it is built to do an actual job: keeping the can cold and the drinker's hand comfortable at a tailgate, in a stadium seat or on a couch.

Fifteen teams, one way to get one

The collection covers 15 collectible styles, one for each NFL team Pepsi partners with: the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders.

The jackets are not sold in stores. Pepsi is running the Pepsi x Off Season Can Jacket Sweepstakes through November 30, and entrants have a chance to receive one of the miniature jackets at no cost. The official rules and entry are at offseasonpepsisweeps.com.

Pepsi says the collaboration is part of Tailgating Deserves Pepsi, the brand's season-long football platform, and its first project with Off Season. Juszczyk said in the announcement that the puffer is where Off Season began, and that turning the signature design into something unexpected was her idea. Gustavo Reyna, Pepsi's vice president of marketing, framed the project as turning the can in a fan's hand into part of a game-day outfit.

Pepsi holds the position of official soft drink of the NFL, and the 15 team styles map exactly onto the 15 franchises the company partners with, which is why a Giants and a Jets jacket both made the list while some other teams did not.

The Long Island thread

Juszczyk's football connection runs through her own family: her husband, Kyle Juszczyk, is a fullback for the San Francisco 49ers. Her path from Massapequa to NFL sidelines ran through sewing custom pieces for players' families, then for a national audience once her designs went viral.

For Massapequa readers keeping score at home, that is a local name attached to one of the stranger crossovers of this NFL season: a hometown designer whose work now dresses soda cans. Fans who want one of the 15 team jackets can enter the sweepstakes at offseasonpepsisweeps.com through November 30.
