Jack & Jones, the Danish menswear label built around jeans, is coming to Tanger Outlets Deer Park. The outlet center's own store directory now lists the brand as coming soon, and its parent company is hiring a store manager for the Deer Park location at The Arches Circle.

What Jack & Jones sells

Jack & Jones is the largest business unit of BESTSELLER, the Danish fashion group that also owns Vero Moda and Only. The brand was founded in Denmark more than three decades ago, and jeans remain the core of the line. Around that denim base it sells tailoring, urban sportswear, footwear and accessories, with about 500 people working on design, buying, sales and marketing at its headquarters in Denmark.

The company's own brand page puts its footprint at more than 800 stores across dozens of countries, most of them outside the United States, and its published materials do not list an American store network. That is what sets the Deer Park listing apart from the center's usual additions: it is a brand whose stores Long Islanders have mostly encountered while traveling.

The hiring has started

BESTSELLER has posted a store manager role for the Deer Park location, listing the job at Tanger Outlets Deer Park on The Arches Circle with a salary starting at $60,000 plus a bonus, reporting to a district manager. A manager search is typically one of the last steps before a retail opening, though neither Tanger nor the brand has published an opening date yet. The directory listing says coming soon and nothing more specific.

Deer Park's outlet center keeps adding names

Tanger Outlets Deer Park, at 152 The Arches Circle off Commack Road, is one of two Tanger centers on Long Island, along with Tanger Outlets Riverhead. The Deer Park property has been collecting new tenants this fall: its directory also carries Toys R Us, which picked the center for its return to Long Island, alongside longtime anchors like the Nike Factory Store and Polo Ralph Lauren.

For the center, a European denim brand is a different kind of addition than another familiar American outlet. Jack & Jones stores lean on the brand's own jeanswear lines rather than clearance racks from a department store, so the Deer Park location will be selling a catalog most of its neighbors do not overlap with.

What to watch for

The store will join the directory at tanger.com under Deer Park when it opens, and the center posts new-store announcements on its own channels. Until an opening date is published, the two concrete signs of progress are the coming soon listing and the manager search that is already underway. Tanger Outlets Deer Park is open daily at 152 The Arches Circle, Deer Park.
