Tropical Smoothie Cafe to Open Soon in Shirley

A brand new Tropical Smoothie Cafe location will be opening up soon in Shirley. At present, there are over 850 locations in the country, with 21 of those locations being on Long Island.

With projected openings through 2024 bringing the national total to over a thousand locations, this popular chain is spreading like wildfire, and Shirley is getting in on the smoothie action. At present, there is no set date for their opening, though their location in South Port Shopping Center has a sign proclaiming that it will be “Coming Soon.”

The first Tropical Smoothie Cafe opened in Florida in 1997. From there, its growth was explosive, leading to an abundance of franchises throughout the country and the demand to meet them. The chain is known for its varied smoothies alongside sandwiches and wraps.

Since 2013, Tropical Smoothie Cafe has offered vegan and vegetarian options such as Beyond Meat menu items. These meat-tasting foods are made from soy and pea protein and help to add healthy variations to their menu. They do not charge extra for meatless proteins.

South Port Shopping Center in Shirley is located at 999 Montauk Highway. While there is no sure opening date yet, the new Tropical Smoothie Cafe is projected to welcome customers some time in 2021.
