Greenport Maritime Festival

The 36th Maritime Festival returns to Greenport under the Greenport Business Owners Alliance, after 35 years run by the East End Seaport Museum. Friday opens with the Land and Sea Gala at 6 p.m. Saturday brings the Maritime Parade at 11 a.m., a pie eating contest at 1 p.m. and the Reggae Regatta Party at 6 p.m. Sunday has the oyster shucking contest at 10 a.m., a hot sauce competition at 11:30 a.m. and the legendary Cardboard Boat Races at 4 p.m. A family treasure hunt runs all weekend.
