Native Ceuticals is Bringing Cannabis Innovation to Long Island
A never-before seen on Long Island enterprise will be making its way to Holbrook among other local areas. Native Ceuticals is a seed to shelf hemp-based business offering a variety of in-house products meant to provide customers a full range of high quality CBD, CBG, and CBN products.
Emphasizing education and utilizing a holistic approach to products that values integrity above all, Native Ceuticals has entered the Long Island area with the goal of elevating the local hemp industry as well as to bring their unmatched products to all Long Islanders throughout Suffolk, Nassau, Brooklyn and Queens Counties.
We chatted with Native Ceuticals’ Bill Hatzichristos who will be spearheading the Long Island expansion of the North Carolina-based firm to learn more about the business’s story as well as that of Hatzichristos himself.
Hatzichristos’ career began in the corporate space, working in various Procurement roles for companies like New York Mets, MCI Wireless and Bloomberg. “I took a pause about a year ago in my career and I said, ‘What do I really want to do?’ I want to do something that’s exciting and in an industry that is set to explode. But most importantly I want to help people.”
It was this spirit of helping others through use of an emergent industry that Hatzichristos selected Native Ceuticals as his partner, saying that it was the “Best move I could have possibly made.” Everyone in the corporate office are pioneers and have extreme passion for the hemp business like Bill does.
Native Ceuticals began in North Carolina, residing upon an 76-acre farm. “What’s exciting about Native Ceuticals which is unlike really any other hemp company out there is we plant the seeds. We cultivate, we do the farming, drying, processing, packaging and labeling and we ship directly to our own stores.” He emphasized that Native Ceuticals stores will only sell products made by the brand itself. This ensures consistency and quality.
Products offered by Native Ceuticals are rigorously tested by third parties, something that Hatzichristos noted as an important aspect of a business that for some is clouded in mystery, misinformation, and a lack of clarity as to what exactly an individual product may be or contain.
Strong results after distributing products to those with ailments is what sealed the deal for Hatzichristos, who invested in inventory in order to see whether or not Native Ceuticals was the real deal when it came to CBD products. “I gave all that inventory out to people with ailments, and I’m happy to say that one hundred percent of the people came back with a testimonial that it solved their particular issues.”
The first Long Island Native Ceuticals is situated in Holbrook in the Holbrook Commons, with expansions planned for as quickly as what the market will allow, including into Nassau county, Queens, and Brooklyn. A Long Island native, born and raised in Dix Hills, Hatzichristos knows the Long Island area well and feels that the Island is overdue for high quality hemp products with which education is emphasized.
When speaking of smoke-shops and other businesses offering CBD and other hemp-related products, Hatzichristos believes that the “seed to shelf” model allows Native Ceuticals to stand above. “There is such a variety of manufacturers that it is difficult for Long Islanders–or anyone–to really understand what they’re buying,” he commented. We focus on education first.
“We solved all of those issues by having one brand that is completely managed by only a few as well as third party tested. We also ensure that our soil is free of metals or pesticides.” We have some of the best associates in our Holbrook location, who are fully trained on the proper use of each product we offer.”
Native Ceuticals will function as more than a shop for CBD, CBG, and CGN products, but also as an education center that Long Islanders can use to learn more about the industry and products offered. “I’m going to have either weekly or bi-weekly classes on the benefit of the products, what they actually are, and how your system ingests and digests them. We will also have events where our customers share their success stories.”
A patent-pending product that is offered by Native Ceuticals is their innovative tincture bar. As described by Hatzichristos, “Based on a customer completing a very simple survey targeting pain, anxiety and sleep patterns, these tincture bar devices develop a custom-made tincture based on individual needs.” These products will be incorporated into every location and will allow for a unique and fulfilling experience.
Native Ceuticals’ interior design is meant to maximize efficiency. Large LED signs will make cabinet navigation easy and will explicitly tell customers the products that they are looking at. Comfortable seating and high-speed wi-fi is also available in an environment that is meant to relax and educate. They are pet friendly too!
Emphasis is also being placed on individual communities, paying homage to these towns and villages’ histories. “I’m currently working with the local chamber of commerce of Holbrook. We’re going to have some historical images that I am going to put up on the walls to really make it for the people of Holbrook.”
CBD remains an up-and-coming industry that leaves many wondering how they can find the best use possible for these products. Hatzichristos had this to say on the topic: “Most people are super excited for a couple of reasons. They want to learn about the benefits, they want to learn about the brand. But they are also excited to not be so confused when they walk into one of these stores. They’re asking for a single store, a single brand with a multitude of products.”
“I have worked with the Town of Islip and they have been fantastic to work with. They have quickly learned how different we are as opposed of these other smoke-type shops which carries a negative stigma.”
Native Ceuticals offers products for pets as well, and the benefits of CBD for anxious animals has been coming into prominence as further studies are conducted and as pet parents everywhere learn of the benefits. “Pet parents take better care of their pets than themselves,” joked Hatzichristros. “One of our leading sellers happens to be tinctures and pet treats with CBD in them. It’s helping pets all over the Island.”
Native Ceuticals is set to be a staple on Long Island and will help to elevate the brand, as well as hemp-based products in general, for people and their pets.
“We welcome anyone in the community and surrounding communities to just come in, talk to one of our associates, just to learn.”
