This magical time of year, great activities meant to spread holiday cheer can be found throughout Long Island. For those wanting to explore what all of these locations have to offer, read below.


Bayville Winter Wonderland, Bayville

Bayville Adventure Park is especially known for its Halloween Scream park, but now they are changing into a Christmas theme. They have so many different Christmas and winter-themed experiences from their Santa’s Toy Factory Funhouse, to their Christmas tree Forest, you can even meet Santa here in addition to their many other activities! Open weekends and select weekdays until January 3, from 3 p.m. till 9 p.m.. Tickets are required to participate in the fun! Prices start at only $21.75 for kids and $24.75 for adults. Christmas House, Westbury

Visit the North Pole in Westbury by visiting the Christmas House. With their unique experience, you are able to visit over 12 Christmas-themed rooms and even a snow room with real snow! It is a walk-through, interactive experience that lasts around 45 minutes so plan accordingly. Their one policy is a no grinch policy so if you are not in the Christmas spirit better to sit this one out. Milleridge Holiday Village, Jericho

The Milleridge Village has become the Milleridge Holiday Village for this holiday season! It opens on Thursdays and Fridays at 4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. There are so many experiences to enjoy from the Milleridge Express to Escape from Santa’s Cabin, as well as Photos with Santa. Shops, food, and so much more await those looking to score tickets! Tickets are required for the different experiences but can be bought at the event, make note that it is cash only. But if you just want to walk through the scenic Christmas village no tickets are required.


Fink’s Country Farm, Wading River

Come to Fink's Country Farm for winter fun! There will be Christmas trees, play areas, music, appearances from Santa, and more.The farm is open daily from 9 a.m. but come down on weekends for the holiday fun, which starts at 10 a.m. There will be Christmas music, homemade pies, and farm animals to enjoy. For the month of December there will be no fee and the farm will be closing for the season after December 25.


Long Island Children's Museum, Garden City

GingerBread Lane has taken residency at the Long Island Children’s Museum for holiday festivities. With admission to the museum, which you can purchase here, you can visit this sweet tooth lover’s dream. What you will see here is about 700 houses and storefronts on display and even Long Island landmarks all represented as gingerbread houses. In addition, you and your children will also be able to practice the art of mixing, baking, and decorating gingerbread houses. The exhibit is open now until January 2, 2022, but on January 8 and 9 you can pick up one of the houses on display as long as supplies last!
