Old Brookville’s Youngs Farm has been used several times by the television industry for its rustic locale that can be used in a variety of situations.

“Blue Bloods” is a fictional police drama following the Reagan family and will soon be at the end of its eleventh season. The series has filmed at Youngs Farm before, and the recently filmed season finale seemed to be written with this popular location in mind.

Youngs Farm has been highlighted in several hit series including “Madam Secretary” and the HBO series “The Flight Attendant.” Rather than being used as an in-series Long Island location, the farm has been used to represent various different areas throughout the country such as Texas and New Hampshire.

The filming, which began on Monday, April 13, and throughout the week, involved a stacked production. Nearly 200 people were involved, from production crews to some notable members of the cast. Will Estes, who plays Sergeant Jamie Reagan, Donnie Wahlberg who plays the eldest son of the Reagan family, and Will Hochman who plays NYPD Detective Joe Hill were all on-site for filming.

The season 11 finale, “Justifies the Means” will be premiering on May 14 on CBS as part of a two-hour special event.
