Long Island Youth Recognized for Teamwork and Innovation at FIRST ® LEGO® League Explore Festival

Long Island youth ages 6 to 10 took part in the FIRST ® LEGO® League Explore Festival on April 10 and April 11, and brought home a variety of awards for their work.

The theme of the festival was PLAYMAKERS, which encouraged teams to explore different ways to be active.

The teams navigated a series of real-world challenges as they used the fundamentals of engineering to design and code unique solutions with LEGO bricks and LEGO Education WeDo 2.0. 

Each team was recognized for their work, taking home awards in multiple different categories. Awards were given as follows:
