Offering gourmet arepas, empanadas, and other fantastic dishes, the restaurant has quickly gained both local and out-of-town fans.

For those who may be unfamiliar, arepas are a popular type of South American dish with pre-Columbian roots. Made from cornmeal and with a huge variety of potential stuffings or ways to bake them, the classic dish is particularly popular in Venezuela and Columbia.

The new restaurant offers casual dine-in and take-out options and has received warm reviews from customers since its opening. Their menu is varied, with one notable signature dish aptly called “The Joint” being among their most popular. It contains pulled flank steak with a variety of South American spices and is topped with beans, sweet plantains, and grated cheese.

Ceci’s Arepa Joint is open six days a week and is located at 503B Newbridge Road in East Meadow. You can find their menu here for a comprehensive look at their options.
