Andrea Randa on Life, Music, and Her Upcoming Album "As Above So Below”

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with singer-songwriter, Andrea Randa. Known for her deeply moving blend of folk storytelling and spiritual introspection, Andrea welcomed us with the warmth and authenticity evident in her music.

The Heart Behind "As Above So Below"

"Every song on the album is a chapter in my journey towards deeper understanding, healing, and unity.” As Above So Below not only reflects my personal journey, but also the universal experience of our spirit expressing in human form. We move from entering this world filled with light and love, “perfect, at the start,” but then a shutting down of the heart’s wisdom (programming) generally occurs. Perplexing, and oftentimes cruel events in our childhood lead to confusion and perhaps, “the dark night of the Soul,” where we wrestle with what trusted sources have offered as truth as opposed to the truth we know in our own hearts. As we walk the path of awakening we may ultimately remember not only that Love is My Power, but also live that truth.

The title holds significant meaning for Andrea. "As Above So Below reflects the knowing that we are all connected in oneness, and that the principles in the universe or larger world (macrocosm) are reflected in our human world or individual lives (microcosm) and vice versa,” she explained. "I wanted to explore the powerful idea that real change and growth come from within through our connection to that Divine spark within our hearts, and then echoes outward into the world."

A Father's Legacy

"The painting used for the album cover was created by my father the year I was born," she revealed. "I never actually saw it until years after he had passed. My mother shared with me his vision—a world where representatives of every nation come together to receive Divine Guidance in governing. That vision profoundly resonated with my personal path and the music I wanted to create."

Songs of Empowerment and Authenticity

Delving deeper into her songwriting process, Andrea highlighted several standout tracks. "The title track, As Above So Below, is about breaking free from societal and self-imposed limitations," Andrea described passionately. "It's about claiming our inherent power and authenticity."

"Love is My Power emerged during a personal awakening," she continued. "I realized that love is the most powerful force we have—Love is the substance of which the universe is made. Love is … and has no opposite. This song became a personal anthem of strength and resilience."

Andrea also shared deeply about the track Fire in the Sky (A Veteran’s Story), revealing its’ heartfelt origins. "This song is dedicated to those who carry invisible wounds from experiences that others can't always see or understand," she said with a gentle sincerity. "Music, for me, is a vehicle for empathy and healing, and I felt compelled to shine a light on these often overlooked struggles."

Collaboration and Musical Alchemy

When discussing her collaborators, Andrea's voice brightened. "Working with Mark Newman, Kirsten Maxwell, Fred Guarino, and the incredible musicians who joined this project was nothing short of magical," Andrea reflected. "Each brought unique musical expertise and a sense of community that made every recording session feel like a gathering of old friends."

She smiled warmly, adding,

"It's these moments of shared creativity that make music such a powerful, communal experience."

Music as Spiritual Practice

Andrea’s music intertwines seamlessly with her spiritual practices and holistic healing work. "Sound has always been central to my personal and professional life," she noted. "Whether through singing bowls, Reiki, yoga, or songwriting, I've found music to be an unparalleled force for healing and awakening.”

As she shared more about her holistic health coaching and yoga teaching, Andrea emphasized how interconnected her practices are. "Everything I do seeks to empower individuals to step into their highest selves, and this album is an extension of that vision," she explained.
