Results Gym Teams up With Local Businesses for Terrace Plaza Palooza 🏋️
In partnership with several local businesses, the owner of the Islip Terrace-based Results Gym and the owner of Cosmos Burgers & Creamery are poised to host a day of festivities and fun in the name of charity towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Islip Terrace Plaza Palooza will see multiple businesses in the shopping center, hit hard by the COVID-19 Pandemic, experience grand reopenings in a way. Along with fun and games, these businesses will be sharing themselves with Long Island residents, boosting both visibility and knowledge of what they do.
We talked with the owner of Results Gym to learn more about his ambitious gym business, as well as what the Islip Terrace Plaza Palooza is all about.
Having opened only three weeks before the pandemic swept the state in full force, the Results Gym owner could do little but wait out for seven months until regulations would allow for people to return to the gym.
“Every rule that you can possibly think of that actually runs the business was taken away from us … My classes got taken away, my daycare got taken away, my tanning got taken away, all my amenities got stripped from me.”
The owner of Results Gym feels that the customer service through his passionate, world-class staff, combined with a never-before-seen concept that the owner considers to be “On another level” will bring Results Gym to the forefront of the fitness industry.
The ability to learn and grow at Results Gym seems to be boundless; and with a soon-beginning session of classes, there will be plenty of new faces looking to take advantage of these great training opportunities.
“Whatever your fitness journey may be, whether you’re a beginner or an expert, we have the tools to get it done,” said the owner in regards to his members. With over eighteen years in the industry, he feels Results Gym can provide true gains for those looking to improve themselves. The owner believes that quality work-outs, a passion for fitness, and his great staff allow his concept to outperform the rest.
Also offered at Results Gym are classes, able to be streamed for those unable to make it to the gym on a particular day. Full in-person classes will be beginning again in September. Throughout the pandemic, the Results Gym owner even offered these private streamable classes for free, to non-members as well as members.
With regards to the Islip Terrace Plaza Palooza, the Results Gym owner had this to say: “It’s kind of my grand opening. I didn’t get to have one. Covid kinda killed me … Cosmos same thing, the supermarket same thing. So we came up with the idea of `Let's just have one giant party, this is what we do, this is what we bring to the table.’”
The event will take place on Saturday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with all raffle proceeds going towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Speaking of the raffle, a mountain of prizes awaits those wanting to do some good, including brand new appliances and other great prizes like a big-screen TV.
Upon coming to the Plaza Palooza, for twenty dollars event-goers will get ten tickets. This allows for participation in plenty of the ongoing events, including a ladder ball tournament, and other fun games. Adults will also be able to take part in drinks from local vendors and shops, which includes samplings from a shot truck.
The thought process of creating this event, featuring businesses throughout the shopping center, the Results Gym owner explained that it was a labor of community-togetherness, wanting to give back to both the town as well as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “Let’s give back to the community, giving them something to do because everyone’s been cooped up forever.”
The fire department will also be participating in the Plaza Palooza, allowing for kids to explore their equipment and learn a little about fire department processes. While the event is certainly kid-friendly, the Results Gym owner stressed that there is plenty of fun to be had for adults as well.
