Popei’s Clam Bar, Bethpage

Popei’s Clam Bar has been a part of Bethpage Village for 30 years. Family-owned and operated, their large menu and quality of care for their customers have awarded them Long Island’s best Seafood Restaurant by News 12. Popei’s Clam Bar features seafood most prominently on their menu, but there are plenty of unique starters and sides as part of their unique menu full of creative naming schemes. Clam is featured as part of many dishes, from their bevy of pasta to their “King Lobster and Crab Leg Corner”. Here, the baked clam is part of many stellar seafood options.

Nancy’s Restaurant, Floral Park

Nancy’s Restaurant has been family-owned and operated for over 50 years. Nancy’s offers Floral Park and Long Island residents across the board a charming atmosphere that is perfect for a nice evening out. With a well-received taproom and an extensive series of menus, there is something for everyone here.

At Nancy’s Restaurant, the emphasis is on delicious entrees and nightly specials. Current entree options for dinner include New York Angus strip steak, a grilled porterhouse pork chop, and a unique gnocchi dish with house-made sausage. Elegant sides are also available, pairing well with their dishes and drinks. 

Patrizia’s of Long Island, Hicksville

Patrizia’s is a larger family-owned and operated chain that has seen constant growth in its 25 years of operation. According to Patrizia’s, dishes are created according to long-held traditions and family recipes passed down through the generations as part of their family atmosphere. They have locations throughout New York, Long Island, and other states as well.

On the menu at their Hicksville location is traditional Italian fare fit for the whole family. Of course, there are a great number of pasta dishes, ranging from traditional to unique, like the homemade fioretti alla boscaiola complete with a mushroom and prosciutto cream sauce. The menu even includes brick oven pasta al forno, such as lasagna and manicotti. 

Lareira Restaurant, Mineola

Lareira is a family-owned Portuguese restaurant that has been long established in its community, since 1982. The restaurant claims to provide customers with “an old world feel of Portugal” with its delicious traditional dishes and an overall appealing menu. Available for sit-down downing in a comfortable friendly atmosphere, Lareira also hosts private events.

The menu at Lareira is full of great Portuguese tastes, many of which customers would have trouble finding anywhere else on Long Island. Entrees include their paelha marinheira, a smorgasbord of seafood items in a saffron rice casserole, and pato assado, an oven-baked duck dish drizzled with orange sauce. 

Louie’s Grill & Liquors, Port Washington

La Parma, Williston Park

La Parma’s is a family-owned and operated Long Island-based chain of restaurants that offers great Italian fare and a warm, inviting atmosphere at each location. Having opened in 1984 as one of Long Island’s premier family-style Italian restaurants, they quickly grew and became the bustling local chain they are today.

The menu at La Parma is familiar and delicious, made with quality ingredients and shareable portions. The Jolly Fisherman has more than just seafood and steak on the menu. Their famous, fresh baked-daily nut and cornbread are offered alongside plenty of different menu items.
