The Westhampton Beach Project will hold its third annual event this year on July 30 and July 31.

The free event will introduce attendees to a combination of music, ballet, and modern dance. It will take place beginning at 8:30 p.m. each day on Westhampton Beach’s Great Lawn on Main Street.

The project was first conceptualized and created by Westhampton resident and President of the Musical Mime Theater Steven Colucci. Colucci has made it his personal mission to expose the younger generation to some of the art forms he has spent more than 45 years studying and appreciating.

“After a devastating year for the arts community I knew that it was time to launch The Westhampton Beach Project event, which has been brewing in mind for the last few years,” said Colucci. “I wanted to provide all these amazing performers with a real platform to showcase their undeniable talents after a year of devastation to our community of dancers, artists and singers.”

The first day of the event will feature a musical tribute to Frank Sinatra from Frank Sinatra tributeer and vocalist Steven Maglio accompanied by The Maglio Orchestra. West African and French American singer-songwriter Eva Sita will also take the stage to perform multiple songs in three different languages alongside the Eva Sita Band and Dancers. Sita will also sing alongside Maglio The Maglio Orchestra in featured Sinatra duets.

Day two will showcase performances by soloist dancers from American Ballet Theater including Luciana Paris, Jonatan Luján, Michael de la Nuez, Jose Sebastian, Javier Rivet, Isadora Loyola, and Aaron Smyth. The event will also feature choreography by non-profit modern dance company, Alison Cook Beatty Dance Company. Dancers will include Vera Paganin, Miranda Stuck, Aurélie Garcia, Mariah Anton, Asia Bonilla, Jaryd Farcon, Charles Scheland and Austin Kelly.

Although admission is free, guests interested in making a donation of $25.00 and up will receive a VIP seat to the event on the Great Lawn. All proceeds will go towards The Musical Mime Company, INC, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to assembling artists in all areas of creativity and collecting information on corporal movement and furthermore on art in general.
