These two women are bringing sweet yet healthy options to the Smithtown community with these new eateries coming in June. They have transformed a lumber yard at 52 North Country Road into the perfect setup for their new spots.

The idea for the first spot, known as Bubble Waffle Ice Cream, was inspired by their children with hopes to provide a healthier ice cream for an after school snack, Uy and Uzun told Patch. Bubble Waffle Ice Cream will offer a vegan or regular ice cream base with the option to top it with any fresh fruit of your choosing. It is then placed into a bubble waffle cone, which is an egg- based waffle that is popular in Hong Kong.

Next to the ice cream shop will be Blue Bean Cafe, where customers can pick-up delicious homemade coffee and small treats. Uy and Uzun pride themselves on providing coffee that is roasted with a zero-emissions and no-gas roaster, known as a Bellwether. They will be creating the coffee right in the shop for all to see. This cafe will also be home to Uy's shumai dumplings that will be served in bamboo baskets.

Lastly will be Matcha Tea in Heaven. The storefront will offer high quality matcha tea from Kyoto, Japan to create a variety of bubble teas to choose from, including lychee or lemonade flavors.

These eateries are set for a soft opening on June 3, 2021 and will be followed by a grand opening coming to the public on June 13, 2021. To stay updated on these new openings, check out the Matcha Tea in Heaven Facebook, the Blue Bean Cafe Facebook, or the Bubble Waffle Ice Cream Facebook pages.
