Retro Arcade opens in Westfield South Shore Mall
Bay Shore’s Westfield South Shore Mall gained a unique addition to its lineup this past week.
High Score Pinball Arcade opened its doors to all those looking for a fun blast from the past for its grand opening on Friday, April 9.
Owner, operator, and Levittown native Melissa Cerquin opened up High Score Pinball Arcade with the hope of bringing the fun and games she has always enjoyed to those in her community. The arcade is decked out in pinball machines and other retro games, with some even dating back to the 60s and 70s.
In collaboration with her boyfriend Mike Burd, who operates Video Game Trading Post in Levittown and Massapequa, the two compiled machines from Burd’s personal collection to make available to all visitors to the arcade. The two share a passion for distributing their resources and knowledge to people of all ages, whether they are looking for a dose of nostalgia or some quick fun.
Rates go as follows: $10 for 30 minutes, $15 for one hour, and $25 for a full day of access-- no quarters required. For hours and more information, visit High Score Pinball Arcade’s Facebook page.
