Long Island’s most beloved cookie sellers, My Cookie Dealer, is finally setting up its first in-person store.

It will take over suite 501 at the Riverhead Tanger Outlets at 200 Tanger Mall Drive in Riverhead.

My Cookie Dealer got its start with couple Karen and Juan Morel when Karen packed Juan one of her infamous cookies in his lunch. Juan’s bodybuilder friends were blown away by what they saw, and the word spread from there. As the Morel’s cookies gained popularity, Karen took to her friend’s bakery, pumping out batches of cookies in the middle of the night and selling out of her car by day. Soon, the hype was big enough that they moved into their own bakery and pursued the operation full-time in 2019.

My Cookie Dealer has seen major success as an online cookie seller to the Long Island area and beyond. The online shop sells their cookies in a “drop” fashion, in which a limited number of people can claim a box of five, 10, or 20 cookies. If you don’t act fast enough, you will have to wait until the next drop, when they bake another fresh batch.

The online shop offers a variety of delivery options, from international shipping to local delivery by a delivery team the business refers to as its “pushers.” 

Now, My Cookie Dealer is ready to take its next step, as it anticipates the opening of its first store. Those who have not been lucky enough to score a box of cookies during an online drop will now have the opportunity to visit the store and claim their cookies.
