Some Long Island Farms and Farmers Markets to Check Out in the 2021 Season

The farms and farmers’ markets of Long Island are slowly beginning to open back up as the warmer weather settles in.

There are dozens of farmers’ markets offering a variety of goods throughout the island, and each will be flaunting all it has to offer to eager market goers.

As you do your grocery and other shopping this spring and summer, consider opting for a local, small-business alternative to the grocery stores you might usually visit. Here are just a few spots to keep in mind:

1.The Garden Farmers’ Market in Patchogue

When: Year-round, Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Fantastic Gardens, 67 Avery Ave., Patchogue

2.HeartBeet Farms Smithtown

When: Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting May 27, 2021

3.HeartBeet Farms Farmingville

When: Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting June 11, 2021

4.Westhampton Beach Farmers’ Market

When: Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting May 19, 2021

5.Seaford Farmers’ Market

When: Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. starting June 6, 2021

Where: Railroad Street on the east end of the Seaford LIRR station parking lot on the corner of Washington Avenue and Sunrise Highway

6.Havens Farmers’ Market

When: Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting May 29, 2021
