Late Night Dessert Shop, Munchies, Joining Patchogue Village in April

We’ve all had that late-night craving for a sweet treat that we just can’t seem to satisfy with our own pantry items.

Soon, there will be a place to go to satisfy it-- Munchies, a unique late night sweets shop owned and operated by Savannah Schwack, hopes to open its doors in Patchogue Village come April. It plans to serve anyone and everyone who stops in, from those hitting the bars, to those who made a special late-night trip just to appease their sweet tooth.

Munchies owner Schwack spent time baking with her parents in her childhood, and after spending some years in the bar industry, was inspired to take her childhood hobby and use it to create her own thriving business. The menu will include, but not be limited to items such as cookie sandwiches, ice cream tacos, donuts, coffee, and other freshly baked pastries.

Patchogue has nothing like this. I knew this is the place it would succeed.

Munchies will take over the property at 50 W Main St. which is the former location of Platinum Day Spa. Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, Schwack plans on operating her shop as late as 3 a.m. For now, she plans on being open for as late as pandemic restrictions allow. The tentative opening of Munchies is currently set for some time this April.

In the meantime, follow Munchies on Instagram to stay up-to-date on the opening.
