DESCRIPTION:The friendliest lighthouse climb on the North Fork. Horton Poi
 nt has watched over Long Island Sound since 1857\, and the Southold Histo
 rical Museum opens it on weekends through mid-September with a small naut
 ical museum inside: marine instruments\, paintings and local maritime his
 tory. The climb is only two floors\, which makes it manageable for young 
 children and anyone who would rather not spiral up a hundred and eighty s
 teps. Admission runs about $5 per adult or $10 per family. Hours are volu
