LOCATION:Gold Star Battalion Beach\, 324 West Shore Road\, Huntington
DESCRIPTION:One of the few chances all year to stand inside a working ligh
 thouse in open water. Tours leave by boat from the Town of Huntington’s G
 old Star Battalion Beach dock\, with departures running from 11 a.m. thro
 ugh the last trip at 3 p.m. The outing takes roughly an hour and fifteen 
 minutes and includes the ride out\, a guided tour\, time inside the light
 house and a climb of the tower. Tickets run about $35 for adults\, $30 fo
 r seniors 65 and over and $25 for children 5 to 12. Everything is weather
  and wind permitting\, so check with the Preservation Society before you
